Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. She was born on the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox went to Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord and the flautist piano for 3 years. The money she earned came from a student allowance and took in part-time jobs to increase her income. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied in her performance when as compared to the performance of her classmates. She began considering different options. Lennox was a part of a group known as Dragons Playground as the flute player in 1976. However, she left prior to her group being requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. She was the main vocalist in The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. The band she was in, was met by Dave Stewart. Together they would form the Eurythmics Pop duo. Then, Lennox began to work on her first solo album Diva and it was released in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top soul jazz blues tracks from the time of her childhood. Lepidoptera, a collection four impromptu piano pieces was released by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. The album is a companion of her "Now I let it go... artwork which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independent album. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25th 1954. After a brief recognition as part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s, Lennox and co-musician Dave Stewart went on to be recognized as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 1980s. Lennox started her solo career in 1992 with the release of Diva that featured several hit songs such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. It has covers of some songs, including No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums by her solo and one compilation album are to her credit.
